Born in Geelong, Australia, and grew up in Jakarta, Lala is mixed-race, Indonesian and Zimbabwean. Lala Ruqaya's journey is indeed intriguing and multifaceted, not only did she pursue her passions but also turned them into professional careers at an undeniably young age, Lala has become Indonesia's youngest model and athlete; a source of admiration and inspiration to her communities. Shaped by her multicultural background and characterized by qualities such as self-love, dedication, and perseverance. Her ability to excel in both the worlds of modeling and equestrian sports is a testament to her versatility, resilience, and passion for pursuing her passions.

Lala’s professional modeling journey has undeniably progressed at a rapid pace of less than three years, due to her unwavering confidence, dedication, and unrelenting passion, coupled with determination and grace. With these qualities, she has consistently delivered standout performances since the age of 12, when she first embarked on the industry through the 2ICONS Model Search in 2021. This journey has led to several notable achievements, including being named as '2022 Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) Top 5 Finalist', landing an acting role in 2023 at a film series ‘Ular Tangga Dara(h)’, and being inaugurated as the ‘2024 Icon of Indonesia Fashion Week’ (IFW) at the age of 14, making her the youngest Icon of IFW's history. Lala aims to continue crafting and leaving a legacy to empower and inspire others.
